About

Dotyping.com is a minimal typing app built for focused practice—no distractions, just a clean UI and the tools you need to improve faster. Whether you’re building fundamentals or chasing higher speed, Dotyping is designed to keep you in flow with fast controls, clear feedback, and accurate measurements.

The goal is simple: help you type better, faster, and more consistently. You can practice short bursts or extended sessions, customize your experience, and track your progress with detailed stats. Dotyping includes multiple modes, languages, and difficulty options so you can train the way you want—without unnecessary clutter.

Core modes

Pick a mode based on how you want to practice—quick speed runs, timed focus sessions, or longer endurance typing.

  • Words and Timed modes for quick runs and structured practice
  • Common mode with long paragraphs based on your preference (great for endurance and real-world typing)
  • Custom targets for extended sessions (custom words / timed goals for longer typing test runs)
  • Flexible sessions that work for both daily practice and focused training blocks

Helpful customizations

Everyone learns differently. Dotyping lets you tune your practice so it matches your goals—whether that’s accuracy, speed, or consistency.

  • Language modes — choose from multiple languages and type in what you want to learn
  • Difficulty — easy, medium, and hard options to match your level and challenge you over time
  • Practice paragraphs or shorter prompts depending on your preference and attention style

Live stats and progress tracking

Improving typing is easier when you can see what’s happening. Dotyping shows accurate, useful stats during the session and summarizes everything after you finish so you can learn from every run.

  • A detailed Result Card that displays lots of stats to help you understand performance and improve
  • Live, accurate session stats while you type, so you can adjust in real time
  • Session history that saves result stats across many typing sessions—even without logging in
  • If you’re logged in, your Profile shows overall stats, including language-wise breakdowns and long-term progress

Tips for getting faster

Speed comes from consistency. Start with a difficulty that keeps your accuracy high, then increase challenge gradually. Mix short sessions for speed with longer sessions for endurance, and use the Result Card to spot patterns (like accuracy dips when you rush).
