These terms describe the basic rules for using dotyping’s typing practice, races, leaderboards, profiles, and related features.
Using the service
You may use dotyping for typing practice and its available community features. Some features require an account; others, including certain races, may allow guest access. You are responsible for the activity carried out through your account or guest session.
Accounts and profile information
Provide accurate account details and keep your sign-in credentials private. You are responsible for the username, profile picture, links, or other information you choose to display. Public profile settings control some information other visitors can see.
Fair and respectful use
Please do not:
- Use automation or manipulation to falsify typing results, race outcomes, or leaderboard positions.
- Harass other users or submit unlawful, abusive, or misleading profile information.
- Disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users’ sessions.
- Upload or link to content that you do not have the right to use.
Results and availability
Typing statistics, rankings, and race results are provided as service features, not as an official certification of typing ability. Features may change or become temporarily unavailable. We may take reasonable steps to address misuse or protect the service and its users.
Third-party services
If you choose Google or Discord sign-in, those providers’ own terms and privacy notices also apply to your use of their services. Links to other sites are outside dotyping’s control.
Privacy and changes
The Privacy Policy describes how information is handled. If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here. The final notice process and effective date must be specified before publication.
